I am so bored
Feb 08, 25The second Trump term is already about as historical as one could imagine. 100 years hence, assuming we are still around, there will be distinguished chairs of Trump studies at the major universities.
Did you know about USAID? I didn’t. Never even heard of it. I don’t know where this all goes, but just wait until we get to see what’s been going on at the Pentagon, if indeed we get to look at that.
Now, everybody knew in some sense that the federal goverment was corrupt. I mean, people have been talking about the “deep state” for many years now, but there’s a difference between knowing and knowing, if you know what I mean. The federal government does not respond to the will of the people in any sense whatsoever. All of the voting is merely window-dressing, to give the veneer of legitimacy, and that’s the only function of our so-called democracy. It is all fake.
Mark Twain said that if voting worked, they wouldn’t let you do it. None of this is exactly new, I suppose, but certainly seeing it this clearly is new. It used to be just nebulous ideas about these things, like adages by Mark Twain, but let me tell you what it all actually means:
You know all the voting and caring about things that you did, that I did, in every election we’ve ever had? It has never mattered. Remember Bush vs. Gore? It didn’t matter who won. How about John McCain vs. Barrack Obama? It didn’t matter. Voting for senator or representative? It has never mattered. I think people need to absorb that. I still see people pointing fingers at the Democrats, but the party of George W. Bush is just as awful. All of it is awful, corrupted, and probably beyond repair. Partisanship doesn’t make sense anymore. It is the federal government vs. the American people.
Wokism? Transgenderism? George Floyd riots? All of that was astroturfed, given to us top down, a pipeline from the Feds to the media apparatus. None of it was organic. And don’t get me started about Covid. And don’t get me started on the undermining of Christianity, the basic social fabric.
The federal government is a completely corrupted machine, run by Ivy League-educated interconnected middle managers who do the bidding of a educated elite. That’s it. That’s all it is. They funnel taxpayer money to their own pet projects, into their own pockets, and that is it. The vote has never mattered. At all.
The housing market. Inflation. Everything is rigged to work against the working man and woman in the United States, and everything is rigged to prop up and enrich a whitheringly small group of elites. It’s not a by-product. People maybe a couple of weeks ago could still look at it as a by-product of the system, but that’s not the case. The entire point is the fuck-over the American people. All of these corruptions, big and small, all going only one way.
Do you remember Trump’s first term, when the media pounded out a drumbeat of anti-Trump messaging 24/7? That was the federal government doing all of that. The federal government of which Trump was ostensibly the head executive. Cancelations? You know, people losing their jobs because they had impolitic opinions? That was the federal goverment sponsoring all of it, the deep state and its media apparatus. All of it.
Thousands of children put on puberty blockers and given mastectomies and castrations under the guise of so-called gender-affirming care, all ultimately sponsored by the federal goverment. Let that sink in.
We would not have gotten Donald Trump without Elon Musk having bought twitter and thereby creating this one island that operated somewhat independently of that media apparatus. In other words, Trump 2 didn’t happen because of the will of the people. It happened because Elon Musk is something of a contrarian who wants to roll back govermental oversight and regulations for his own pet projects. None of this is about the American people. Has it ever been?
Everything is fake. Everything. The only rational move, then, is to withdraw. Stop caring. I have experienced the trickle-down effects of these corruptions as a taxpayer, but also in the prevalence of divorce, the destruction of my family, all of it. Our mythos about the rule of law is just that, a mythos. It isn’t actually real. You have to play by their rules, but they play by a different set of rules entirely.
You can’t unsee it now. There’s no going back. The image at the top, Cthulu, the Lovecraftian monster that is cold and indifferent to human life on Earth. Turns out, it’s so mundane. It’s just a human-created system that no longer responds to humans.
Will we see trials and prison-time for any of these people? Your guess is as good as mine, but we are talking about a system that is completely undefeated in it’s fucking over of the American people. Pardon me if I cannot muster any optimism, but the very concept of justice strikes me as laughably silly at this point. This system, doling out justice?
