Georgia 43 Ole Miss 35

Oct 19, 25

Track meet at Athens. For three quarters, both football teams scored on every possession. Ole Miss scored five touchdowns on its first five possessions, and Georgia was right there with them, scoring touchdowns and two field goals. Ole Miss took a 35-26 lead into the fourth quarter, and I said to myself, the first team to stop the other is going to win this game, and sure enough, in the fourth quarter, Georgia finally came up with not one, but two stops, and the Ole Miss defense came up with none. In other words, Georgia scored on every possession. Every single possession, giving them 17 fourth quarter points and the victory.

Ole Miss does not have a defense. At all. Georgia’s defense didn’t look great, but it was enough to finally stop the Rebels when it mattered the most.
